About Me

I have been teaching since 1998.  I started in North Dakota, then moved to California, New Jersey, and now Michigan.  I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classrooms, multi-age classrooms, Gifted and Talented/Enrichment (GATE) programs for Kinder-2nd, and K-8 English as a Second Language programs. I occasionally teach ESL classes to adults.  I have a M.Ed. in Literacy/ESL, plus many extra credits in Curriculum and Instruction. I often present at ESL conferences. Currently I teach 5th grade in an urban setting with many ELL students.
